In addition to providing Professional Liability insurance coverage, Leatzow Insurance provides technical assistance and other services based on our decades of experience in providing errors and omissions insurance to Landscape Architects, Arborists, Irrigation Designers, and other professionals in the green design industry. These services are delivered to clients via one-on-one meetings and teleconferences and via the Internet.

The most important service we provide answers questions such as, "What are two of the biggest mistakes that Landscape Architects and other green industry professionals make?" Many Landscape Architects make two dangerous decisions:

1. They decide to use no written contract on their projects. That's why we give sample contracts to members free, right from our On-Line Member Services area, and the contracts have been developed by and are reviewed regularly by legal experts in Professional Liability.
   
   
2. They avoid the use of attorneys as an integral part of their business advisor "team." Leatzow Insurance Members learn how to make the best use of an attorney, how to find an attorney in your area with direct experience with Professional Liability and landscape architecture. There are 3 simple steps we teach our Members that will help them protect all of their projects under contract while spending no more than $100-200 per year on lawyers' fees to complete these simple steps.

How Important Is Contract Review?

If you are doing your own contract review and think you are safe, we question the merits of insuring your firm. This program is intended for low-risk forms practicing professionally using proven methods to avoid problems. We benefit such firms with low premiums and lavish them with risk avoidance/risk management techniques. The choice is yours. Our 20 years of statistics on private practice landscape architects are quite clear.
