Perhaps the most important service we provide to our members is that we give them professionally developed and regularly reviewed sample contract. They can download the contract in a Microsoft Word compatible file and incorporate it as they need in their own businesses.
We pay to have the contract reviewed regularly by some of the most experienced lawyers in the industry, to ensure that its scope and language remain current with the best practice in law.
Thus Leatzow Insurance saves its members money two ways: by providing Professional Liability insurance at the lowest rates in the industry and by saving the amount of money (as well as time) professionals spend on legal fees.
As a service to our Members, Leatzow Insurance offers a listing of attorneys who are believed to be qualified to provide contract review and litigation support to firms such as yours. We frequently utilize these same firms to defend E&O claims brought against design professionals in general and landscape architects specifically.
The members only area of the Leatzow Insurance Web site also contains access to a database of experts in specialty areas related to landscape architecture, areas such as playground safety, skate park design, soil testing, and the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The Members Only area of the web site also includes other useful sources of information and important documents. For example, it explains how to copyright a design and thereby protect intellectual property as effectively as Professional Liability insurance protects real property.
